Extreme Meteorologist and Storm Chaser Reed Timmer and his show, “Dominating the Storm”, are coming to the Stride Bank Center on Friday, Feb. 13.
Graduating with a PhD in meteorology from OU, Timmer is a storm chaser and scientist driven to unravel the mysteries behind destructive storms. Timmer has intercepted over 1000 tornadoes and over 50 hurricanes in the last few decades, and is one of the few people to chase both an EF5 tornado and a Category 5 hurricane.
Timmer also invented the famous tank-like storm-chasing vehicles called the Dominators, outfitted with sensors, hydraulic spikes and armored outer shells.
Currently, Timmer is storm chasing for the National Geographic Channel and the RadarOmega application.
