Enid Man Arrested For Attempted Robbery, Shooting From Moving Vehicle

(Enid, OK) An Enid man was arrested early Wednesday after an attempted robbery at an OnCue.

22-year-old Kade Browning was arrested on counts of attempted armed robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, shooting from a moving vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to the report from Enid Police Department.

Officers responded to a possible robbery in progress on 9th and Oklahoma at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday morning. Another Enid man told police he was parked at the OnCue at 1623 S. Van Buren, when Browning allegedly parked next to him in a dark-colored GMC Envoy and motioned for him to come to him, according to police.

Browning allegedly pulled out a gun and asked for money. The man put his hands up and backed up toward his vehicle, according to the report, and Browning sped off in his vehicles. Two other passengers were in the vehicle with Browning.

The man followed Browning from OnCue to 9th and Oklahoma, where Browning then fired a gun three times from the vehicle.

The vehicle went to a home in the 900 block of East Oklahoma. EPD officers and Garfield County Sheriff’s Department deputies located the vehicle and arrived at the residence.

Search warrants were given for the residence and the vehicle, according to the police report. While inside the home, police recovered the pistol, two magazines and ammunition, suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and numerous empty containers.

Browning was placed under arrest and was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility without incident.
