Fatal ATV Accident Near Waynoka Leads to Death of 11 Year Old Girl OHP Announces

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol announced that an ATV accident led to the death of an 11-year-old girl near Waynoka. The wreck occurred Wednesday, July 5th at around 7:37 pm.
An 11-year-old girl was driving an ATV 5 miles northeast of Waynoka when she traveled too fast for the curve causing the ATV to leave the roadway before rolling and coming to a rest on its side on top of the driver.
The girl was flown by AirEvac to the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas where she passed of critical internal injuries at around 7 am Thursday, July 6th.
The incident was investigated by Trooper Justin Barney #332 of the Alfalfa County Detachment of Troop J. Assisted by Woods County Sheriff’s Office, Waynoka Fire, Waynoka EMS, and AirEvac.
