Gaslight Theatre Gearing Up for Shakespeare’s “King Lear”

The Gaslight Theatre is gearing up for the return of Shakespeare in the Park with a new production “King Lear”.

Come to the Gaslight from Sept. 5–7 and 12–13 for an evening of powerful storytelling! Admission for the performance will be free!

In this classic tragedy, the aging King Lear decides to divide his kingdom among his three daughters—an act that sparks a devastating spiral of betrayal, madness and war. As family loyalties unravel, Lear is forced to confront the limits of power, love and his own humanity. This timeless Shakespearean work will move audiences with its poetic brilliance and dramatic depth.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Sept. 7. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating under the evening sky!
