James Frantz & Robert W. Dense to be Honored During Enid Walk of Fame Ceremony

James “Doug” Frantz and Robert W. “Bob” Dense will be honored during the 2026 Enid Walk of Fame Ceremony.

The Enid of Walk of Fame bestows awards on an annual basis to those who demonstrate a lifetime of service to the community, have made an extraordinary contribution to the community or have performed an act of selflessness of statesmanship for Enid. The ceremony will happen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Grand Ballroom C at the Stride Bank Center.

Frantz is this year’s living honoree who is respected as a businessman and community leader. In addition to being a Vietnam veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, Frantz served as the president of both the Rotary Club of Enid and Enid Noon AMBUCS, supported numerous nonprofits and served two terms as the Mayor of Enid. Frantz’s impact on the Enid community is both extensive and lasting.

Dense is this year’s posthumous honoree, a man remembered as a great businessman and community leader. Dense was the president and CEO of his self named company Dense Mechanical Contractors and served in leadership roles with the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce, St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital, Enid Rotary Club and United Way of Enid among other local organizations. Dense also dedicated himself to mentoring local youths and and strengthening community institutions.
