CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Johnny from Peak Fighting MMA to discuss the upcoming match at the Stride Bank Center.

He started by giving a rundown of the fighters who will be competing:

“We [have] about 20 fights booked right now. Hopefully, we’ll get down to about 16. We [have] guys from around the world fighting…from Russia, Brazil, Mexico, [and] America. Not just locals, but tough guys from all around the world…excited to be in Enid. Hopefully, make it a permanent home.”

Johnny expanded on the grappling matchups and what fans can expect for the ruleset.

“Our grappling is a little different than most. There’s no butt scooting, we call it. Slams are allowed. It’s in a cage, and it’s just six-minute rounds looking for submissions. You have to get a finish to win, so no judging. If you don’t…it’s just a draw. I think we’re only going to have a few of those. We got local Dillon’s grappling on that against Brian. It should be pretty exciting.”

Peak Fighting MMA will take place at the Stride Bank Center on Saturday, May 2, at 5 p.m. Tickets are available here.
