The Mackie Planetarium at NOC Enid will host three upcoming programs, including a live broadcast of a NASA mission and a Good Friday presentation.
The planetarium will open at 4:30 p.m. on April 1, broadcasting NASA Artemis II live via NASA Link. The mission is slated to depart no earlier than 5:24 p.m. The ship will carry four astronauts on a 10-day trip around the moon, marking the first crewed flight to the moon since 1972.
On April 4, the planetarium will present “Via Dolorosa,” its annual Good Friday show at noon. The program will show the traditional route through the Old City of Jerusalem.
Lastly, the monthly show is slated for April 7 at 6 p.m., displaying the night sky over Enid.
All events at the planetarium are free; nonperishable food donations are accepted.
