The Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents approved the reinstatement of competitive cheer at the Tonkawa and Enid campuses as an NJCAA intercollegiate sport beginning in the 2026–27 academic year during its final meeting of 2025.

Regents also approved changes to six academic service fees and accepted a financial report noting $2.2 million in state funding for deferred maintenance projects. Two expenditures exceeding $25,000 were approved, along with the declaration of surplus property to be sold at auction in January.

Administrators provided updates on enrollment growth, academic program reviews, campus construction projects, and student achievements. The board also recognized a $30,000 foundation gift to fund scholarships in multiple academic programs. The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 18 in Tonkawa.
