On Friday Oklahoma State Speaker of the House, Charles McCall announced that the Oklahoma House of Representatives will be putting several bills on the house floor with the goal of providing inflation relief to Oklahomans. The bills being introduced will deal with personal income tax, grocery tax, business taxes, and other relief measures.

The House will also have the option to decide whether or not the relief measures will be temporary or permanent. In a statement about the bills, McCall said “We’re going to put more money in Oklahomans’ pockets while helping businesses continue to provide them with good-paying jobs”.

Bills related to inflation were passed through the state legislature earlier in the year but they were vetoed by Governor Kevin Stitt. Stitt was unhappy that he was not in the loop for the previous bills and it was Stitt who called the special session for today.
