Voting is underway throughout the state of Oklahoma on whether or not recreational marijuana use will become legal within the state of Oklahoma. Polls are open until 7 pm tonight and you can check your polling location at https://oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp.html.

Part of the question on the ballot reads “This measure creates a state law legalizing recreational use marijuana for persons 21 or older. Marijuana use and possession remain crimes under federal law”.

The question went on to read “The law does not affect an employer’s ability to restrict employee marijuana use. For the first two years, marijuana business licenses are available only to existing licensees in operation for one year or more. The law does not affect the rights of medical marijuana patients or licensees”.

The full question can be found on the Oklahoma Voter Portal website.
