Over 2k COVID-19 Cases Reported Saturday, State Nears 4k COVID-related Deaths

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma’s COVID-19 case numbers increased by 2,053 on Saturday, making the overall total 401,780 since the pandemic started, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Cases in Garfield County on Saturday increased by 19 for a total of 7,190, with 409 active cases.

Of the 51 deaths reported, 41 in the 65 and older age group, nine in the 50-64 age group and one in the 36-49 age group, according to OSDH.

Counties with recorded deaths included eight in Tulsa, five in Oklahoma, five in Garvin, three in Cleveland, two each in Logan, Comanche, Pawnee, Kay, Murray and Rogers and one each in Bryan, Greer, Beckham, McIntosh, Blaine, Canadian, Pushmataha, Custer, Stephens, Grady, Okfuskee, Osage, Woodward, Ottawa, Pontotoc, Texas, Sequoyah, and Washington.

3,761 Oklahoman deaths have succumbed to the virus with it being the cause or a contributing factor, OSDH reported.

Other county case increases Northwest Oklahoma on Saturday included 15 in Blaine, 10 in Kingfisher, nine in Alfalfa, six in Noble, three in Grant, two in Woods, one in Major and one in Woodward County.
