With the 2026 school year coming up soon, City of Enid Technical Services has announced it will carry out school zone beacon testing this week from Aug. 5-6.
This process of testing and programming will impact areas around Enid Public Schools, Chisholm Public Schools, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Public Schools and any other school beacons within Enid city limits.
Beacons will be programmed to sync with current school district calendars, which can be accessed online.
Motorists are reminded to obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits in all school zones while testing is taking place.
