Senator Roland Peterson gave his Senate Review on Monday, September 28th.

He started off by addressing his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife and enjoying his family. “It has been great spending time back in the district during the interim. My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary recently and were treated to a wonderful reception by our daughters and their families. We greatly enjoyed getting to celebrate this milestone with our closest family and friends and can’t thank them enough for putting this together for us.”

He then mentioned the county fairs and their effects on the community. As stated by Peterson, “Many across the area spent countless hours preparing their animals, produce, crafts, and other projects to compete in the five county fairs located in Senate District 19. These are wonderful events to get the community together and support local businesses and civic organizations.”

He finished off the review by giving an insight into the future of the Capital. “We are already gearing up for next year. Part of our preparations include interim studies, which could potentially result in legislation for the upcoming session and allow us to hear from experts and stakeholders on important issues impacting our state.”
