Two-Vehicle Collision in Enid Leaves Passengers in Critical Condition

A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of E. Maine St. and S. 5th St. in Enid has left two people in the hospital in critical but stable condition.

Officers responded to the intersection at 6:42 a.m. on Thursday morning when a 2007 Lincoln Town Car travelling north on S. 5th St. was struck by a 2018 Dodge 2500 travelling east on E. Maine St.

The driver of the Town Car, 35-year-old Manuel Urenda Gonzalez, and his 7-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center before being transferred to hospitals in Oklahoma City.

Gonzalez is currently at OU Medical Center in critical but stable condition while the 7-year-old is also in critical but stable condition at Oklahoma’s Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the Dodge, 57-year-old Malcom Martin, was not injured in the accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
