On Friday, July 7th the United Way of NW Oklahoma held their Bacon Bash event alongside 1st Friday. Different community organizations formed teams as they made different bacon recipes and competed for 1st prize.
Attendees were able to try out the bacon on the courthouse lawn after purchasing tickets that helped to support the United Way of Northwest Oklahoma. Jordan Blom with country music station 107.1 KNID was broadcasting at the event.
Some of the other 1st Friday activities included food trucks and live music by Morgan. Mainstreet Enid also held an Independence Day-themed block party on Independence St.
