A Celebration of Life Service for Cathrine Elizabeth Wallace (Kennedy) Heckman, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Paradise Cemetery at Breckenridge, OK under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Cathrine Elizabeth Wallace (Kennedy) Heckman of Enid, OK, passed away September 27, 2026, surrounded by family.
Cathrine Elizabeth Wallace (Kennedy) Heckman was born July 9, 1943, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to the Rev. Elmer and Madiline Kennedy. She was raised in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, alongside her two brothers, Elmer Jr. Jonathon, and her half-sister, Rosie Kromer.
Cathrine married Larry Heckman, and together they raised three children: Connie Trejo, Melody Robertson, and Larry Jr "Bud" Heckman all of Enid. In 1972, after visiting North 10th Assembly of God and developing a deep love for its congregation, Cathrine and her family moved to Enid, Oklahoma.
Cathrine was blessed with nine grandchildren: Domonic “Nick” Heckman, Christina Ascencio, Adan Diaz, Jessica Plascencia, Dillon Diaz, Chellsie Quinn, Trevor Diaz, Veronica Aguilera, and Stephanie Mejia. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 21 and great-great-grandmother of two.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother; her husband, Larry Heckman; and her brothers, Elmer Jr and Jonathon.
Her life was shaped by her devotion to family, faith, and the communities she called home. Cathrine will be remembered with love by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, half-sister Rosie Kromer, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
