Charisse LaNae Potter
1963 - 2026

The Celebration of Life Service for Charisse LaNae Potter, 62 of Enid, will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at The First United Methodist Church of Enid. Cremation and arrangements are with Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charisse was born August 22, 1963, in Hereford, Texas to Larry and Ruth (Wagner) Dobbs and passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, in her home surrounded by family.

Charisse attended Enid High School, graduating in 1981. Charisse studied at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving her Associates Degree in Business. Charisse married Stanley Potter on April 25th, 1987 in Enid where they started their family. In August of 1990, she gave birth to their first daughter, Briana. In March of 1994, another beautiful daughter was welcomed, Carly. Charisse worked at Central National Bank, later Stride Bank, as Vice President and Operations Officer in the Trust department for 42 years. Throughout her career, she developed beloved friendships and was cherished by many.

Charisse’s favorite spot was in her backyard by the pool with her 2 dogs. She took pride in her pool and flowers. Charisse treasured the moments of family and friends gathering in her backyard during summer. Charisse will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend. Charisse had 3 beautiful grandchildren, Cora, Kai and Tilly, that she adored with all of her heart. Her dedication to her family and grandchildren was endless.

Charisse is survived by her husband, Stan; daughters Briana Paph and Carly Adams and their families; mother, Ruth Dobbs; sisters; Christa Miller and Codi Gudgel and their families; spouses siblings, Steve Potter and Cindy Hughes and their families and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Larry Dobbs; grandparents, Martin and Louise Wagner; and in-laws, Charles and Rosa Potter.

Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home in remembrance of Charisse to the Sooner chapter of Cystic Fibrosis.
