David was born June 4, 1957, to Bobby R. and Hazel P (Williams) Meyer in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life June 5, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Waukomis, graduating from Waukomis High School with the class of 1975. He worked as a mechanic and worked in the water pipeline service industry, supplying water to oil drilling sites. He and Deborah Snyder began their relationship in 1990, the couple knew they were lifelong companions and married April 3, 2018, in Waukomis. He was a long-time member of the Waukomis Methodist Church and was currently a member of the Waukomis Christian Church. He enjoyed tinkering with his cars, a 64 Chevelle and a 2015 Camaro, and watching westerns.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Meyer, of the home, one daughter, Michelle Jamison; one Son David Meyer Jr.; one grandson Corbin Shelton and his wife Ivy, his great grandchildren, Courtlyn Jo Shelton and Payton Ray Gene Shelton; two sisters Teresa Sissney and her husband Raymond and Mary Meyer; one brother, Jerry Meyer Sr.; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Hazel Meyer.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Circle of Love or the Waukomis Christian Church with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds
