1947 - 2026
Gerald Lynn Badley was born on May 5, 1947 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Hazen Badley and Erlene West Badley and passed away on June 12, 2026.
Gerald’s life was defined by love; his love of God, his love of family, his love of others, and his love of art. As a child, he developed a strong love for art, which he carried with him throughout his life. One of his proudest moments came while in high school, where he designed and drew a house that was then built. As he progressed in life, he drew inspiration from Bob Ross and continued expressing his artistic abilities through painting and various other art projects. He also drew inspiration while riding motorcycles with his friends and family through the mountains of Colorado.
Shortly after graduating from the U.S. Naval basic training, he married the love of his life, Janet Sue Hines, on July 8, 1966, remaining faithfully committed until his time of passing. Together,
they raised three daughters and spent many years in children’s ministry. He touched many lives during his ministry but was also passionate about the gospel and its true meaning. After retiring
from children’s ministry, he never passed up an opportunity to share his love of God with anyone willing to listen.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his wife, his daughters and their families; Jeri and Chuck Anderson, Ginger and Merle Newland, and Amber and her fiance, Chris Johnson.
He is also survived by his siblings, Jan Badley and Sue White, 14 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings - Wilma Morgan, Bruce Badley, Peck Badley, and Bill Don Cairns, and 1 grandchild, Devon Valencia.
