Gwenlynn Kay Budzene, age 63, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. A funeral service celebrating Gwenlynn's life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home in Enid with Jimmy Berkenbile officiating. Burial will follow at Morris Heights Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Born on January 31, 1963, in Perry, Oklahoma, to Charles Budzene and Carlene (Pruitt) Montgomery, Gwen graduated from Seminole High School in 1981. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 2004 and later completed her Bachelor's Degree in Management and Ethics in 2008.
She worked for Tinker Federal Credit Union for 23 years, followed by 5 years at the Shutter Mill. Gwen had her dream job, serving as an Administrative Payroll professional at Oklahoma State University for 13 years.

Gwen was an active and faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 30 years. She was initiated into Enid Chapter No. 36 on April 11, 1996, and later transferred her membership to Stillwater Chapter No. 54 in 2013. She was also a proud member of Jennings Chapter No. 331 and Hennessey Chapter No. 37.
Throughout her years of service, Gwen faithfully held numerous leadership positions. She served as Worthy Matron at least seven times and was currently serving as Worthy Matron of Hennessey Chapter No. 37 at the time of her passing. She cherished the friendships and fellowship she found through Eastern Star and considered it one of the greatest blessings of her life.

The role she cherished most was being a mother and "Mimi." Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved baking with her grandchildren, family gatherings, taking trips, or simply enjoying time with those she loved. Gwen’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by family.
Above all, Gwen will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, generous spirit, and deep love for her family. She lived a life of service to others, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or share a smile. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and selfless love will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Gwen was preceded in death by her father, Charles Budzene, and her brother, Harold “Don” Budzene.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Osland (Barry); her son, Jacob Mack (Alisa) both from Bison, OK; her mother, Carlene Montgomery; her sister, Barbara Byrum (John); her brothers, Wayne Budzene and Robert Davenport (Patci); and her beloved grandchildren, Odessa, Oaklee, Zoey, Weston, and Hunter; other relatives and friends.
