The services celebrating and honoring the life of James “Jim” Crabtree, 84, of Enid are pending under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
James “Jim” Crabtree was born February 11, 1942, to Authur and Eloise Crabtree in Canova, West Virginia and passed from this life July 1, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Hannington, West Virginia, graduating in 1960. Right after graduation he enlisted in the United states Air force. He served twenty-two years of honorable active duty to his county in Okinawa, Japan, Vietnam, England and numerous bases throughout the United States. He married his wife of fifty-six years Carol Darling May 25, 1970, in Enid, Oklahoma. Upon his retirement in 1982 he moved Enid, Oklahoma where he was offered a job at Vance Air Force Base. He continued his career as a Database Manager for twenty-eight years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Garland Road Baptist Church and the Good Sam Club. He and his wife enjoyed many years of traveling and camping. He also enjoyed golfing, visiting with friends and playing card games, and going to Branson.
He is survived by his wife Carol Crabtree, his sons, Randall “Randy” Crabtree and his wife Dedra and Greg McCormick and his wife Roberta, six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Eldon Crabtree and Deborah Brown and his parents Aurthur and Eloise Crabtree.
