Funeral service for Peggy Tipton will be Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with David Kliewer officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.
Peggy was born on November 8, 1942 in Fredrick, Oklahoma to James and Jimmie (Sprouse) Sanders and passed away on September 23, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.
She grew up in Kremlin, Oklahoma and graduated from Kremlin High School. Peggy went to Beech’s Beauty College, and became a long time beautician. In 1966, she married Fred Tipton in Bakersfield, California. Peggy owned and operated her own home salon for many years before later joining Patton’s Hair Salon. She cherished time spent with her family. and valued the close relationships she shared with them. Peggy was also blessed with a wonderful circle of friends. She enjoyed card games and social gatherings. In her leisure time, she especially enjoyed visiting casinos and creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents; son, Troy Lee; great granddaughter, Claire Willey; sister, Sandra Crawford; brothers, Donald and Roy Sanders.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy and wife Sue Lee, Holly and husband, Terry Willey, and Laurie Tipton; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Children’s Hospital Colorado Springs.
