Ricky Lee Roggow
1966 - 2026

Ricky Lee Roggow was born January 30, 1966 in Enid, Oklahoma to Victor and Joy (Oppel) Roggow. He passed away in his home in Breckinridge, Oklahoma to eternal life in heaven at the age of 60 on June 13, 2026.

Ricky was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge. He was baptized on February 20, 1966 by Rev. E. F. Guenther. Ricky was confirmed in this faith on May 11, 1980 by Rev. Carlton Kjergaard. He served his church in many capacities, including serving as president of the congregation and recording every worship and special service.

Ricky attended Garber Schools, graduating in 1984. Following high school, Ricky attended Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1988 with a Baccalaureate degree in Media and Communications. Ricky began his long career in radio broadcasting at KAYE-FM, the NOC radio station. While still in college, he began his professional career at KNID/KCRC as weekend help. After graduating from college, he continued as an on-air personality with Chisholm Trail Broadcasting for over 40 years. His voice on-air became a staple to radio audiences in northern Oklahoma, keeping communities connected throughout the day with access to talk radio, music radio, live broadcasts, high school sporting events and up-to-the-minute information during severe weather outbreaks. Ricky was also a long-time dedicated member of the Breckinridge Fire Department (BFD), serving as Treasurer for many years. He served the citizens of Breckinridge as a firefighter and also as a certified EMT. Every July he ensured the BFD fireworks stand was well-stocked for July 4th celebrations in the Breckinridge area. The Annual Breckinridge Block Party showcased the BFD's fireworks and was accompanied by Breckinridge's own DJ, Ricky Roggow.

On July 7, 2022, Alli Bigbey and Ricky were joined in marriage. Together they built a loving home with their son, Justin Wartley. Ricky prioritized spending time with his family and attending school events.

He is survived by his wife, Alli and son, Justin, of Breckinridge; sister, Vicki (Kelby) Pflughaupt of Seward, Nebraska; niece, Renee Pflughaupt; and nephews, Reed Pflughaupt and Ryan Pflughaupt.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Joy Roggow.
