A private family burial for Violet Marjorie Bishop will be in Oakland-Knowles Cemetery near Cresent on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
Violet was born August 28, 1924 in Cashion, Oklahoma to Michael Reschke and Iona (Hammermeister) Reschke and died Thursday, October 29, 2026 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. Violet graduated from Crescent High School with the class of 1944. On October 14, 1945 she married Lee M. Bishop in the First Christian Church in Crescent.
The couple had two sons, Jerry and Floyd Bishop. She was a homemaker, volunteered with RSVP, as well as area schools and OT Autry. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren (Jeff and Carrie Bishop, Shawn Bishop and spouse Jaime (Verela) and great-grandchildren (Brandt, Hunter, and Holden Bishop). She also had a wonderful relationship with her daughter-in-law Penny Bishop, and special friend Pat Bierig, as well as numerous other close family members.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the Salvation Army, Greenbrier Nursing Home, or the charity of the donor's choosing.
