Oklahoma State third baseman Aidan Meola has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week for week two after his standout performance in the Grand Canyon series. Meola led the Cowboys to three wins in four games at GCU, batting 8-for-19 (.421) with a double, four home runs, and 12 RBIs, posting a 1.105 slugging percentage.
The senior homered in all four games and recorded RBI totals of three, one, three, and five, with multiple hits in three contests. On Saturday, his two-run homer broke a tie, and a later RBI single helped secure a 10-7 win for Oklahoma State. In Sunday’s series finale, Meola matched his career high with five RBIs, driving in the first run with a two-out single and later hitting a grand slam in the fourth inning. His efforts propelled the Cowboys to a run-rule victory and secured the series.
