In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Burlington Head Boys Basketball Coach Kolby White to discuss the upcoming playoff match.
Coach White began by discussing what has led to the team’s success this year:
“They have bought into the system of playing together as a team and have really come a long way. I can’t commend them enough [for] how much they’ve grown as a team [in] playing together and buying in that it takes all five of them to go and win a game. When we’ve had success this season, it’s been whenever that’s how they’ve played.”
The coach highlighted the players’ positive mindset when facing teams:
“It’s the perfect time for us to really have confidence going into these playoffs. We’ve started playing the type of playoff basketball we need when you get to this point. It’s any given night, even though it’s two losses, you’ve got to play every game like it’s your last. They’ve really started to play like that, and we’ve fine-tuned some things. It’s nice to see that’s paid off and we’re starting to build momentum at the right time.”
