In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Caldwell Head Boys Basketball Coach Jalen Risley to discuss the rivalry matchup against South Haven.
The coach started off by discussing the previous matchups against the Cardinals:
“We played them twice already this year. The first game, they got up on us early, we [came] back and got one at the end. The last time we played them in the SCBL tournament, we didn’t play very well. They come out ready to play. And I think moving forward, we’ve got some confidence back. And so our guys are really looking forward to going up against them again.”
Coach Risley shared what keeps the team going:
“I think just confidence. We talked about it a lot the last couple of weeks, and we’re kind of playing with a lack of confidence in ourselves, and I think we’ve kind of come together and started playing with some confidence again. So hopefully we can keep that going.”
