The Garber Wolverines will be on the road to face the Yale Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 22. Derek Darr and Colby Talley from Game On! gave some insight on the upcoming game.
Darr talked about each team’s journey up to this matchup.
“Yale, not a lot of games, only one win over a team with a winning record. [But] you have the Garber Wolverines who [took] on Covington-Douglas, Laverne, Turpin, Pond Creek-Hunter; not all those games have gone their way. But this is definitely a Garber team that is more battle-tested than Yale.”
Talley added on about his experience with Garber during last year’s game with Garber vs Shattuck.
“We saw that a little bit last season. The first game that I ever called here was Garber vs Shattuck in their playoff matchups. Shattuck [was] coming in with this incredible record. They’d only lost one game over the course of the regular season. Garber was coming in a little beat up…they handled Shattuck no problem. Got a convincing win over them despite the disparity in their records….”
