In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Dover Head Girls Basketball Coach Matt Peck to discuss the 101st Annual Skeltur Tournament.

Coach began by sharing why the Skeltur Tournament means so much to him.

“I grew up playing in the Skeltur, me being from Cimarron, so it’s always very fun to be a part of [an] awesome tournament. [It] brings a lot of communities together; it really brings out the spirit in everybody, brings out a lot of play. It’s always just a fun tournament to get through and then head into playoffs just a couple of weeks later.”

Peck also talked about some star players on the team.

“I really just want to say all [of] my seniors, really. My start five seniors, Riley Buck, averaging 13 points a game; Ashley Gomez, averaging 10 points a game; Joy Caldwell, she’s a very physical presence in the paint [and] seven points with eight rebounds; Madison Goodwin, also around six points and seven rebounds a game; and Kenley Beckman, which has been a good addition for us in the offseason.”
