Dover Lady Longhorns Head Coach Matt Peck Previews State Tournament

The Dover Lady Longhorns have made it to the Class B State Basketball Tournament! Head Girls Basketball Coach Matt Peck spoke with CTB Sports about his team’s postseason run so far. The Lady Longhorns are 27-2 and have won all their postseason games by an average of 32.75 points.

They are led by the Harviston sisters Karlee and Kaitlyn two of the best players in the state of Oklahoma. They are also joined by Rylee Buck an excellent 3-point shooter that Coach Peck described as the best defender on the team.

Dover will meet up with Turner in the State Quarterfinals, Turner is 28-4 on the year. Turner was ranked #15 in Class B going into the postseason and they made it to State through the consolation bracket after a regional loss to #4 Hammon.

Coach Peck also spoke about how the addition of the new Dover boys head coach Jared Reese to his staff. Reese works as an assistant for the girl’s team and is a multi-time State Champion as a coach at Kingfisher High School.

Peck spoke about how having the boys and girls practice in the same gym where more coaches can help the kids has helped their team.
