Two Enid High School baseball players have announced where they will be continuing their baseball careers. Catcher McCage Hartling announced on September 27th that he will be staying in Enid and playing at NOC-Enid for the Jets while Cooper Jarnagin announced on October 7th that he will be heading to Coffeeville Community College in Kansas to continue his career.

Both players were key members of the Enid team that made it all the way to the State Championship last season and both players were on the All-Star team the Enid Majors in the summer. McCage Hartling is a dangerous hitter who led the team in RBIs last season and is also a great defensive player as the team’s catcher.

Hartling was reliable behind the plate all year and made runners think twice before they tried to steal to 2nd. Cooper Jarnagin served as the team’s Swiss army knife, Jarnagin played 3rd base, shortstop, and the outfield for the Plainsmen and was also one of the team’s most reliable relievers on the mound.

Jarnagin also played short-stop for the Enid Majors while Hartling served as the team’s catcher and DH. The Majors made it to the Quarterfinals of the Connie Mack South Plains Regional Championship.

Both Jarnagin and Hartling will once again be key contributors to the Enid Plainsmen as they hope to win the 2024 State Championship.
