In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Enid Head Softball Coach Chris Jensen to preview the upcoming season.
The coach emphasizes the importance of quality pitching and strong defense, highlighting confidence in their abilities to secure victories through consistent performance on the mound.
“I think we’ve hung our hat since I’ve been here in the five years on quality pitching, and hopefully that’s no different this year. We have some girls very capable of going out and winning some games, and when you have those girls who throw a lot of strikes, you’ve got to have a good defense.”
Coach Jensen gave an update on how the offseason has been treating them.
“We’re in the middle of our second week of practices, and so far, so good. Everyone’s stayed healthy and had a great attitude. And we’re just looking for good things. We start scrimmaging next week on Thursday…It’ll really test us before we get the season opener going with El Reno.”
