Enid Plainsmen Survive Late Lions Comeback to Defeat Moore 49-42

Enid Plainsmen Pacer Athletics Plainsmen get a huge 49-42 win last night against Moore! The Plainsmen improve to 2-3 on the season. The Plainsmen started off strong jumping out to an early 21-point lead before halftime after some touchdown passes from QB Israel Gonzalez who got his 1st career varsity football start.
Enid led by 28 in the 3rd quarter but the Moore Lions roared back to make it a game in the 4th. Israel Gonzalez played well filling in for Aiden Robinson throwing 4 touchdown passes to Bennett Percival, Karmello Washington, Zyire Allen, and Jamison Washington. Some key defensive stops were able to hold off the Lions who got within 1 touchdown of the Plainsmen late in the 4th quarter.
Plainsmen running back Blake Fuksa had 2 huge touchdown runs and over 100 yards rushing. In his best performance of the year.
Defensively Tyson Kennedy had a 100-yard pick 6, while Zane Wiggins and Jraden Russell each changed the game with a couple of sacks each and relentless pressure on the quarterback.
Up next for the Plainsmen is a road game against the undefeated Bixby Spartans.
