In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with The Medford Head Football Coach, Blake Lamle, to discuss the upcoming matchup against MT. View Gotebo.
The coach began by discussing what to expect from Mt. View Gotebo:
“I mean, they’ll be physical. Coach Cokley does a great job, always has. Scheme-wise, they’ve got a really [physical] offensive line, they’ve got a good quarterback, tailback, and wide receiver. I mean, they’re what you expect to see as far as number two seed from down south.”
Coach Lamle shared what the Cardinals need to do to win the game:
“I feel like defensively we just need to continue to be as physical as we’ve been and really play [sound], do a lot of the things that we’ve done all year defensively. Then offensively, yeah, kind of all starts with Cash [Kelley] and then you know Trent Loman’s got to do a really good job of running the football for us, and then Kingston Edwards, I think, is one of the better wide receivers in Class C…just need a really solid game out of game.“
