New Oklahoma State Football head coach Eric Morris spoke to the media at Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday, July 7th.
Morris expressed gratitude toward the athletic director for the opportunity.
“[I’m] thankful for our president, Jim Hess, and our athletic director, Chad Weiberg, [for] entrusting me [with] the job that they have given me, and to be able to take over a program that’s had a history of a ton of success [in] the last 20 years.”
Morris discussed his first year at Incarnate Word and the progress that was made.
“They’d only been Division I [for] a couple of years. And so I think I could come in there, guns blazing and [bring] my personality into that place and kind of reset the culture. Starting in the weight room, building in the offseason. And then ultimately, we were able to have some success that first year.”
