Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a commanding 90-58 victory over Tulsa on Monday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Cowgirls improved to 11-2 on the season with the win.

OSU started slowly on the offensive end but held a 17-13 advantage after the opening quarter.

The Cowgirls found their rhythm in the second period, erupting for 24 points while capitalizing on frequent trips to the free-throw line. OSU went 9-of-10 at the stripe in the quarter and clamped down defensively, limiting the Golden Hurricane to just three made field goals and six points. The surge sent the Cowgirls into halftime with a 41-19 lead.

Tulsa responded in the third quarter, shooting 54.5 percent from the floor (6-of-11) and outscoring OSU 24-20 in the frame.

Any momentum was short-lived, however, as Oklahoma State pulled away in the fourth. The Cowgirls poured in 29 points, highlighted by an 11-0 run that forced a Tulsa timeout and sealed the decisive win.
