EnidLIVE!’s Colby Talley sat down with Seiling Head Football Coach Gary Manuel to discuss the upcoming semi-final matchup with Cherokee.

The coach started off by sharing the team’s progress:

“I think our kids have understood the importance of being ready to play when the game starts. One thing to talk about is starting fast, and I think our kids have done that [in] the past few weeks, but we’re walking into a whole different animal this week.”

Coach Manuel shared some of the game plan against the Cherokee Chiefs:

“I think they’re a really good football team. They’re well-coached on both sides of the football. I think, from a defensive standpoint, [we] have to really be physical. We’ve got to strike blockers, [get] off blocks, and do a great job of tackling. They do a great job of running their offense. They have three dynamic runners…different guys that run the football. We got to do a great job of tackling and [getting] everybody to the football.”
