In this interview, EnidLIVE!’s Colby Talley sat down with the Timberlake Head Basketball Coach, Kale Pierce, to talk about the Upcoming PCH Tournament.
The coach began by discussing the previous game against Kremlin-Hillsdale, where the Tigers took the win with a 30-point lead:
“It started the way I’d expect it to. We were a little rusty, and really, both teams struggled to score early. Made some adjustments, got a little more comfortable, got out of football mode, and really started…our offense; feeding off of what we were doing defensively and started to get some points into transition, get the ball into the end of the lane and get some easy buckets….”
Coach Pierce discussed how some teams have lost some key players in the past year:
“There are a lot of teams at the top, including us, that have lost some key pieces from a year ago. DCLA, they [have] the one seed and deservedly so went in the tournament last year, and they’ve got almost everybody back. So obviously, they’re going to be tough.”
