In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Timberlake Head Football Coach Brian Severin to discuss preparations for the season.
Coach Severin shared how spring practices have gone and discussed the young roster:
“We graduated pretty good seniors last year, and we got some young kids that we have a lot of faith in. We’ve got a lot of confidence in them, but they are young, so it’s going to be a learning process for us, but they’re very athletic, they’re very coachable, and so we’re excited to get started with them.”
The coach gave some insight on the district this upcoming season:
“A lot of familiar faces, obviously. Geary’s coming in; they’re going to be a slightly different type of team for us. They’re going to be big, so that could pose some problems. Tyrone’s got a really talented [quarterback]. So, it’s going to be a tough district, just like it always is.”
