In this interview, EnidLIVE!’s Colby Talley sat down with the Timberlake Head Football Coach Brian Severin to discuss the Medford Semi-Final matchup.
The coach began by sharing the progress of the Tigers and how they’re doing:
“We’ve grown and progressed. We’ve had some young kids step up and play really well for us. We knew coming into the year that we were going to have some really good senior players, but we also knew that we were going to have to have some young kids step into those roles that were opened up. They have done a really good job for us this year.”
Coach Severin discussed the Medford Cardinals and what to expect:
“They’re very athletic. That’s the first thing you notice. I mean, they have athletes everywhere. We’re going to have to do a good job of being where we’re supposed to be. We’re going to have to do a good job of tackling because they do break tackles, being as athletic as they are. So we’re just going to have to kind of maintain what we’ve been doing, stay focused, get lined up right, and then, as I said earlier, we’re going to have to do a good job of tackling, because they’ve got some really good athletes.“
