Waukomis Head Football Coach Rustin Donaldson spoke with CTB Sports about the offseason and upcoming fall football season, saying,” Spring practices were good. I think we went eight days and are just really trying to feel, you know, we lost three seniors. You know, a lot of times you can say only three seniors, but all three of those guys were major contributors, especially on the line.”
Coach Donaldson also spoke about some guys he expects to have bigger roles on the team this season, saying, “Lane Winkler, be it junior, he’s a guy that has played guard, played tight end. He starts at tackle on defense. So he’s another guy that we can move around. We had Cole Black, who hardly didn’t play any last year. He was a freshman, going to be a sophomore this year, but he stepped into the center role and has really done a really good job there. So, continue to develop those guys.”
