Seiling gets Big Win, Enid Comes Up Short, Looking Back at Week 3 in NW Oklahoma High School Football

The Seiling Wildcats managed to hold off the OBA Trojans in a huge road victory defeating the Trojans 18-14 in an exciting battle. While the Enid Plainsmen came up short losing to Edmond North 42-27.

The Plainsmen only trailed by a score at halftime, but costly mistakes allowed the Huskies to jump out to a 42-14 lead in the 2nd half. The Plainsmen would battle back in the 4th Quarter but ran out of time and came up short on an onside kick attempt to get extra possessions to complete the comeback.

Chisholm is looking strong, they are 2-1 on the year after 22-15 win over Tulsa NOAH, the Longhorns now have more wins on the year than the last 2 seasons combined. As Kimes Gilbert has the Longhorns looking much improved in their 2nd year of coaching.

The Okeene Whippets are no longer undefeated after losing to the defending State Champion Laverne Tigers 48-22. While a talented Garber team was shocked by the undefeated Drumright Tornadoes 80-46 for the Wolverine’s 1st loss of the season. They will look to rebound against their rivals the Covington-Douglas Wildcats who beat DCLA 64-14.

The Eagles are much improved from a season ago but the young team is still going through growing pains. Ringwood got a big win defeating one of Class C’s best Waynoka 48-32. Cashion continues a rough season losing to Walters 49-7, while Canton is 2-2 after beating Corn Bible 50-42.

Tonkawa defeated Blackwell 40-6. Finally, the Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers got the better of their cross-county rivals the Medford Cardinals downing them 38-6.
