Eerily similar to 2021, the Enid Plainsmen are hitting their stride at the tail end of this season. Following a district sweep to Tulsa Union, the Enid Plainsmen have won 12 of their last 14 games. The most recent win was a statement road victory over first place-Bixby, 3-2.
This week, Enid takes on a Bartlesville team that swept them in 2021. They follow that up with a district series against rival Stillwater next Monday and Tuesday.

Despite it being so crowded at the top, Enid does not control their own destiny in terms of coming in first or second in District 6A-4. Union has a rather light schedule in the final two weeks, playing Booker T. Washington and Tahlequah (although, Tahlequah has beaten Bixby this season). Bixby and Union have the tie-breaker over Enid if they finish with the same district win percentage.
As advertised, Gerrit Shull has torn up the league in 2022. Shull is slashing .493/.567/.955 (BA/OBP/SLUG) in his Sophomore season, being one of the toughest outs in Oklahoma.
Junior Ace Jake Kennedy has lit it up on the mound for the Plainsmen, with an ERA of 2.30. Kennedy leads Enid with 4 Wins on the season, none bigger than last week’s complete game W over Bixby.
Freshman Aidan Robinson has been a solid #2 for the Plainsmen, showing an incredible amount of composure considering how young he is. Robinson leads Enid in innings pitched and will be crucial for the Plainsmen come playoff time.
After missing much of the season due to injury, McCage Hartling is now once again an everyday part of the heart of the Enid line-up.
