It wasn’t the first, and it won’t be the last.
Friday’s football game between Pond Creek-Hunter and Garber has been canceled. This is, predictably, due to the efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Both schools mutually agreed to cancel the game on Thursday after a Pond-Creek Hunter student (non-athlete) tested positive for Covid-19. Garber has also have had their own pop-ups of cases within the school district. Garber-Okeene has also been canceled.
Neither Garber, nor Pond Creek-Hunter are going to practice this week.
Elsewhere in high school football, Enid will take on Jenks on 1390 KCRC tonight. Pregame starts at 6:45 p.m. and kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
