EnidLIVE!’s Colby Talley recently sat down with Sean Mathis from Oakwood Bowl to talk about the expectations for the upcoming 2025 Trunk R’ Treat.
This year’s 12th annual event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 starting at 6 p.m. in the Oakwood Bowl parking lot.
“We have 3,000 [to] 3,500 people who show up, walk through and get free candy,” Mathis said. “We invite all local businesses…park a trunk [and] hand out candy. All we ask is that each kid gets a piece of candy, but if you want to hand advertising you’re more than welcome.”
When asked what guests will need to know this year, Mathis had a simple request for those who attend.
“Just be patient,” Mathis said. “The line is long, there’s lots of people. You do have to park elsewhere and walk over. We do have buses running from the mall to the bowling alley to drop [people] off. Safety is a big thing.”
