The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is striking a chord with music lovers this season through its newest temporary exhibit, Rhapsody Music Project, on display from November 4, 2025, through January 10, 2026.
Developed in collaboration with Tammy Wilson of the Enid Event Company, the exhibit celebrates the musicians, radio stations and cultural influences that helped shape northwest Oklahoma’s musical history.
The collection highlights both legendary and modern artists, including renowned percussionist Vida Chenoweth, celebrated soprano Leona Mitchell, fiddle virtuoso Kyle Dillingham and rising talent Wyatt Wilson—winner of the 2024 Texas Country Music Association Steel Guitar Player of the Year award.
Guests can also step back in time through displays of vintage radios, classic concert posters, musical instruments and one-of-a-kind memorabilia. From early local broadcasts to touring performers, the Rhapsody Music Project offers a fascinating look at how the Cherokee Outlet region helped shape the soundtrack of Oklahoma and beyond.
Admission to the exhibit is included with regular museum entry.
