Von Miller, one of the NFL’s most accomplished pass rushers, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced Sunday night. Miller, who grew up in DeSoto, Texas, and played at Texas A&M, leads all active players with 138.5 career sacks. He enters his 15th season after recording nine sacks with the Washington Commanders last year, his best total since 2021. The Cowboys plan to use Miller, 37, in a pass-rush rotation with Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku, first-round pick Malachi Lawrence, and others, according to ESPN.

Miller brings a Hall of Fame resume to Dallas, with eight Pro Bowl selections, seven All-Pro honors, and a Super Bowl 50 MVP award from his time in Denver. He also has experience mentoring young players, having learned from DeMarcus Ware with the Broncos, and could play a similar role for the Cowboys’ younger defenders. The Cowboys recently extended defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, signaling a commitment to strengthening the defense under new coordinator Christian Parker, who previously worked with Miller in Denver.
