Fatality Collision Takes the Life of Fairview High School Student

A fatality collision that happened near Fairview took the life of a 16-year-old student from Fairview High School, whose name was withheld.

The girl was transported to Fairview Regional Medical Center and was pronounced deceased from the injuries she sustained.

The girl was riding in a Chevrolet Avalanche with 3 other passengers. The driver, who was also 16 years old, sustained shoulder injuries and was transported to the same medical center.

The remaining passengers included two juvenile males. One sustained head injuries while the other sustained no injuries.

The vehicle was heading southbound on North 256 Rd. and failed to take on a curve due to speed, departing the roadway and rolling over.

The crash was investigated by Trooper Adam Post #407 of the Kingfisher County Detachment of Troop J. and assisted by the Major County Sheriff’s Office, Fairview Fire Department, and Fairview EMS.
