The City of Enid has announced that two new construction projects will begin in early October, affecting traffic in both respective areas.

The first closure will be enforced on West Yale Avenue between North Monroe Street and Midway Street to allow crews to perform an asphalt overlay. This closure will last from Oct. 3-7.

The second closure will take place at the intersection of West Main Street and South Van Buren Street to allow contractors to install new traffic light signal poles. This closure will only be intermittent and it will last from Oct. 6-20.

Both closures are weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to follow posted traffic control signs and to drive with extreme caution in the area during the construction effort.
