Two local business owners in Enid are the recipients of the MicroEnterprise $10,000 Grant through the Enid Regional Development Alliance. The business owners that were chosen for the award are Emme Hughes, who does custom welding, metalwork, and fabrication, and David Preston and Arlan Potter who own a Motorcycle and ATV Shop.

Hughes founded her business as recently as 2021 and has already seen tremendous growth for her business. She will be using the funds to buy more equipment so that she can meet the growing demand of her business.

Preston and Potter are more established, they have been in business in Enid for 15 years. They will use the funds to make necessary repairs to their shops like repairing water damage and a leaky roof.

The ERDA has issued 3 grants so far this year.
